Hemisphere Monaco provides a wholly owned offshore, payroll and crew contract division, which alleviates the onus from owning companies, by assisting with the many regulatory obstacles and costs facing superyacht owners. Our clients range from 20 meters to 60+ meters and all benefit from a dedicated account manager, to support the Captain in their crew management obligations.
We facilitate contractual compliance for superyachts by ensuring full compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (“MLC”) guidelines. The enforcement of this act established new rights for employees, which impacts the obligations of employment companies.
All crew employment contracts (SEA’s) are issued prior to embarkation, providing crew the opportunity to review the terms of their employment, prior to committing to the yacht.
We operate an equal opportunity policy and have infrastructures in place, to employ crew of all nationalities, to include French residents and Filipino crew. Thus, ensuring their countries governing bodies, social security contributions, are met.
Hemisphere Monaco provides competitive rates to its clients, by bringing payroll services into our in-house, ‘Lite Collection’, negating unnecessary additional costs incurred by outsourcing.
In addition, we review, analyse and implement applicable manning regulations on behalf of clients, ensuring yachts operate within appropriate legal manning requirements. This is to ensure safe vessel operations and to avoid non-payment of insurance claims; or risking vessel detention by Port State Control due to non-compliance.
